Dear Rival Members,

We know that in uncertain times it is helpful to have some normalcy, which is what we’re working to provide for you here at Rival. That said there are a few key things were doing at the gym in response to COVID-19 that we want to share with you.

Class Schedule/Format:

We’re making some changes to the class schedule (replacing the Shockwave circuit with Bootcamp) as well as modifying the format of other circuit-classes – Triple Threat, Tabata, and TRX – so that we’re no longer rotating through a circuit but rather you will work in a single location throughout the workout, with dedicated pieces of equipment. Some classes will have a reduction in the number of spaces available to provide for additional personal space. Here are those class schedule changes:

Mondays:  6am Shockwave Plus will now be Bootcamp w/Kenzie

Fridays:  12pm Shockwave Plus will now be Bootcamp w/Kyle

You can view the full class schedule here which is reflective of these changes. You can continue to book classes through the Rival app or via the website.

Equipment Cleaning and Use:

As you have likely seen, we have put out more equipment cleaner and wipe down rags throughout the gym. As well, we have put out individual hand sanitizers near all workout zones. We have already seen members be diligent in wiping down equipment after use and we request that you continue with those great habits.  #therivalway  Our front desk team is monitoring the supply of the cleaner and sanitizer as well as changing out the rags frequently.  If you see anything that needs attention, please let the front desk know.

Gym Hours:

For now we are not making any changes to our operating hours, but will let you know if anything changes that would require us to make adjustments. We know that many of you are now working from home so may have flexibility to come into the gym later in the morning and throughout the day, which are traditionally slower times in the gym.

Workouts to Stay Strong:

As always, we want to support your personal fitness goals and help you build a strong healthy body. To that end, our Rival Training Team is putting together their favorite workouts that you can do throughout the week. We will be posting those workouts on Instagram and Facebook in the coming days, so please check them out!

At Rival we are a community, and as such we want to maintain an environment where you can continue to come together with fellow Rivalers to stay fit and strong.  As a small business, we very much appreciate your ongoing support and we will continue to provide updates as necessary.

All my best,

Jim Mahan, Owner
