Seattle native Jim Mahan is the owner and founder of Rival Fitness.  You’ll experience Jim’s passion for fitness and commitment to helping you achieve results each and every day in the club.

Fun

At Rival we believe that a healthy dose of fun is essential to keeping you motivated and engaged in your fitness pursuits.  From afternoon DJs spinning in the club to “field day” workouts, we’ll provide you with opportunities to sweat with a smile.  Check out Rival Recess!

FIT Squads

Proven to deliver results, FIT Squads are 60-minute small group training sessions for 4-6 members.  FIT Squads are the perfect option for those members who need the commitment of a standing appointment as well as enjoy the camaraderie of working out with a group of friends.  Learn more.

Functional Equipment

At Rival we believe that workouts should support the way you need (and want!) your body to move in real life.  As such, we’ve carefully selected all of our equipment to focus on building strength, flexibility, and endurance.  From sandbags to kettlebells to training ropes to TRX suspension trainers, the equipment will support the results you’re looking to achieve.  And don’t worry.  We’ll be there at all times to help you with the proper moves.

Independent Workouts

Variety is the spice of life.   How many times have you said to yourself, “I’m going to get on the elliptical for 60 minutes every day this week”? How many times have you actually done it? We thought so. Our goal is to keep you motivated—and keep your body guessing—by providing individual workouts that offer variety and constantly evolve to meet your new fitness needs.

Supportive Staff

At Rival you’re not on your own.  Unless you want to be.  A professional staff of “Rivalers” are available to you to help you perfect a move, provide you with guidance and support throughout your workout, and to celebrate your accomplishments.  We’ll know you by name and we’ll be at the ready for however you need us.

Personal Training

Workout with a purpose.   We’ll work with you to identify your individual goals, a plan to achieve them and the moves and activities that will get you there. This will be different for everyone, but one thing remains the same: we’re committed to you and your personal success story.

Classes

We know you love your classes and so do we.  We’ve carefully planned our class offering and schedule to complement your total fitness regime.  Cycling, Indo-Row, and more taught by a team of experienced, professional instructors committed to your success.  Learn more.
